The answer to the problem of drywall dust in the dry cleaning?
This is one of many tools/products that I found particularly cool, useful, interesting or all three at the National Hardware show last May in Las Vegas. The show is where buyers from hardware stores, lumber yards, and home centers go to see the latest and greatest tools and products being pitched by the companies that make them.
The 2016 show was particularly good, with more interesting new tools and products than I have seen in years past. Some recently came out, some are scheduled for release later this year, and some are concepts in search of buyers—years away from being produced or fated to never be produced at all.
Radius 360 Drywall sanding pole and duster
Full Circle International recently released a dustless version of their popular Radius 360 drywall sanding pole. Like the previous model, this one has a swivel fitting, adjustable pole, and a circular head that takes hook and loop paper. But the Air version has a dust collecting shroud and a hollow pole that connects by hose to a vacuum.
Dust is pulled from around the paper and passes out through the hose. The head can be used alone or with one or both sections of the pole (it’s shown here with one section).
The kit version goes for $189 and includes the pole, hose, head assembly, and Flex Air edge sander.
The Radius 360 Duster is a microfiber dusting bonnet that fits over Full Circle International’s Radius 360, Radius 360 Air, and Trigon 180 drywall sanding heads. It’s designed to wipe sanding dust off walls and ceilings before painting. It can also be used to clean floors. Machine washable, it can be used wet or dry.
