Edward's shop specializes in custom chairs, tables, specialty cabinetry in a style "somewhere between Scandinavian and Shaker furniture." Edward's greatest design influence was an old friend of his, Bill Stumpf, who designed the Aeron chair for Herman Miller.
The chair was the best selling office chair in history.
Surprisingly, it is bird's-eye maple cutting boards that keep the shop afloat making it possible for Edward to build furniture the way that he does.
His main furniture shop has two employees: a furniture maker and a finisher, primarily. A separate woodshop produces the cutting boards with four more employees.
